Upcoming Family Engagement Day. Ohio State University Extension in Hardin County, in a partnership with Ohio Jobs and Family Services in Hardin County and the Kenton FFA, is planning a Family Engagement Event for Child Abuse Awareness Month. We are asking for your support and help to promote this event. Please share this information with your friends, family, on social media, and within our community. We also hope you and your family will join us for a fun day. The event will be free to the public, funded by the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund.
This event will take place on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 1-5 p.m. at the Hardin County Fairgrounds located at 14134 Letson Avenue in Kenton. Included in this event will be local organizations, educational resources, and family fun activities. Healthy food options and entertainment, including 4-H line dancing, will be available. The Kenton High School FFA Chapter will also be holding their Ag Day in which families can explore agricultural topics, visit with animals, and see farm equipment.
Donations are being accepted from businesses and individuals that will provide a future bonding experience for a family of 4 (i.e. board games, admission to local attractions or sporting events, pool passes, dining gift cards, etc). These will be free giveaways to those participating in activities at the event. Any monetary donations received will be used to purchase day trip opportunities and other family night activities such as board games. Please consider making a raffle donation if you are able.
Community organizations that provide services to families and children are invited to set up a table at the event space. Tables are “farmer’s market style”. Each organization is responsible for their own table, tent, chairs, and materials/activities. We’d love to have your organization represented!
If you are willing to donate a raffle prize or want to participate in the event, please contact Jami Dellifield by email, dellifield.2@osu.edu, or by phone, 419-674-2297.
